While working for DLA Creative, Heritage Bank selected my suggestion of the title of this newsletter, “Club Chatter”, for their 55+ Bank Club. Pekin Hospital Baby Place Open House (Direct Mail)
A client of McDaniels Marketing, Pekin Hospital wanted to celebrate the grand opening of The Baby Place, its new birthing facility. Calling it a “shower at our place”, I used baby-friendly headlines to promote the facility to expectant moms and their families. View full size
Website Copy
This website serves as an educational approach to plastic surgery. I wrote copy for the non-animated procedures to give prospective patients a glimpse into what was involved and what to expect.
This massive site entailed months and months of research on very specialized procedures. Each required painstaking care to ensure medical accuracy while providing a layman’s explanation of the procedure. The copy was then approved by the appropriate physician, in most cases with few edits.
DLA Creative wanted fresh copy to go with a new website look. My goal was to write copy that was lighthearted yet professional, fun to read yet informative.

The brainchild of Jake Hamann, Civisync’s goal is to help the public connect with local providers in order to increase awareness, participation and sales for the Peoria Metro economy. I am pleased to assist Jake in the marketing, education and awareness of the ground-floor initiative of this venture, beginning with a press release. View press release

ci|creative’s mission is to cultivate resources, opportunities, connection and education to attract and retain our creative community within Central Illinois. One initiative of this mission was to create a publication highlighting the creative talents in the community. As the editor of this project, I collaborated with other writers to create ci|stories, a “creatazine” which encompassed personal and professional profiles and creative writing submissions from ci|creative members.
